Amaan Iqbal Ibrahim
Amaan Iqbal Ibrahim is our former Head Boy of the Class of 2019. Currently he is pursuing his BSc in Psychology, from the University of Birmingham, Dubai campus. A passionate public speaker, he has delivered 6 TEDx Talks and is spearheading his university's very first TEDx event.
He is the first Asian recipient of the International Diana Legacy Award for Social Work, the first non-Arab recipient of the Sharjah Government Award for Volunteer Work and the second Indian recipient of the Sheikh Hamdan Distinguished Family Award. An ardent advocate for mental health awareness, he is a published author and founder of Under 25 Project Hope, a pan-Indian student mental health program, and has interned with the likes of Medeor Hospital, Mediclinic and Snapchat.
Amaan is also an ambassador for the British Psychological Society, Neolth Mental Health and his university. He was part of Janus, a sustainable startup initiative which emerged among the top 6 startups in the Middle East at the Hult International Business Prize 2023.
This young man is currently working as an Academic Instructor at Edge Learning Center, Hong Kong. Amaan believes age should never be the limiting factor when it comes to changing the world.
