Akshay Bolar Memorial Battle of the Bands- Season 16

The Student Council staged yet another exhilarating edition of its flagship event – The Akshay Bolar Memorial Battle of the Bands which is now in its 16th season. The event took place at the Sheikh Zayed Multipurpose Hall on the 26th of September, 2024. 

This edition of the event witnessed an incredible five bands participate in this musical odyssey. The theme for this season was ‘Retro Revived’. The bands were tasked with performing their own renditions of songs from the 1970s, reviving their chosen tracks with a modern twist.

Apart from the musical performances of our students, a member of the school faculty, Ms. Poonam Kewlani, dazzled the audience with an upbeat drum solo. The event was graced by the presence of our respected Principal and CEO- Mr. Srivalsan Murugan, our esteemed panel of judges- Mr. Edberg Dillon, Mr. Warren Isaac and Mr. Lijo George, along with the members of the SLT and the SMT.
Shubhadip Saha (12 A) was crowned the ‘Best Guitarist’, while Jeflin Victo(12 C) took home the coveted ‘Best Performer’ award. The band ‘Aeon’ triumphed as the champions of Season 16 claiming the ‘Best Band’ title.

This musical extravaganza served as a testament to the musical prowess of Our Own Maestros. This marks the end of yet another successful season of the Akshay Bolar Memorial Battle of the Bands, but rest assured, we’ll be back next year for another thrilling season!
