HP Idea Fellows of OOB Lead the Way

On December 5, 2024, eight dedicated teachers from OOB proudly graduated as HP Idea Fellows, concluding a transformative year-long journey. OOB was privileged to be chosen from the cluster to participate in this prestigious programme, thanks to the unwavering support of Senior VP, Mr. Michael Guzder, and our Principal and CEO, Mr. Srivalsan Murugan. Led by Ms. Bindu, Head of Middle School, and conducted by Verdant partner HP Idea, the fellowship culminated in the impactful project Empowering Students through the EEE Program: Entrepreneurship, Environmental Engineering, and Emotional Well-being.

The proud recipients of this honour—Ms. Meagan D’Silva, Ms. Smitha Somarajan, Ms. Vanessa Fonseca, Ms. Nousheen Naeem, Ms. Smitha Ragesh, Ms. Rhea Alva, Ms. Mandeep Bhatia, and Ms. Shijitha Nazar—collaboratively embraced the program’s mission, which began in January 2024. It emphasized cultivating entrepreneurial skills, promoting sustainable practices, and enhancing emotional resilience among students. Notable achievements included recycling initiatives that reduced school waste by 30% and student-led startups addressing environmental challenges.
