
Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop at GMS, Sharjah
GMS, Sharjah, successfully hosted a Two-Day Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop on February 5th and 6th, 2025, bringing together educators to enhance their teaching methodologies and presentation skills. The workshop was conducted by CBSE in collaboration with the Institute of Secretarial Training and Management (ISTM), New Delhi, featuring esteemed trainers, including Mr. Gunjan Gandhi (Joint Director, ISTM), Ms. Ramandeep Kaur (Deputy Secretary & Head, CBSE COE Chandigarh), Mr. Puneet Sharma (Deputy Director, ISTM), and Ms. Poonam Mendiratta (Principal, Manthan School, Noida).
Workshop Highlights:
The training focused on empowering educators with effective teaching strategies and the key qualities of a good trainer. Participants explored fundamental aspects of successful presentations, structured around the INTRO (Interest, Need, Time, Range, Objective), COVER (Content, Order, Visuals, Eye contact, Reinforce), and SLATE (Summary, Link, Ask questions, Test the understanding, Extend learning) framework, and the three Ps—Planning, Preparation, and Presentation.
Hands-on activities such as spray diagrams, learning event planning, and syndicate group collaborations provided an interactive learning experience.
The workshop also emphasized the integration of NEP 2020 into classroom teaching, ensuring alignment with evolving educational policies. It highlighted new pedagogical structure, competency-focused education, innovative pedagogies, nurturing ethical and constitutional values & 21st century skills and professional standards for teachers.
