Sewa Day 2024: Honoring Our Unsung Heroes at OOB Primary
On the 19th of November, 2024, OOB Primary School, in collaboration with the Sewa Club, hosted a heartfelt event to celebrate the unwavering dedication of its ancillary staff. This year’s "Sewa Day" aimed to instill a sense of gratitude and compassion in students, showcasing the selfless contributions of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth functioning of the school. The event was a tribute to the invaluable role played by these staff members and an opportunity to inspire students to embrace the values of empathy and service.
The day’s festivities were marked by joyful student performances, including solos by Adhib Zayaan and Pranavjith and an energetic dance by the Kinder Minions. The Assistant Head Boy of the Primary School opened the event with a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude for the community helpers’ efforts and encouraging his peers to recognize and appreciate their contributions. Adding to the celebrations, students delivered heartfelt thanksgiving speeches in Hindi and Malayalam, and a senior Sewa Club volunteer shared inspiring words of appreciation for the beloved "uncles and aunties" who make the students’ school lives more comfortable and secure.
As a token of appreciation, the ancillary staff were presented with custom gift bags, snacks, and a collection of fruits generously contributed by students and staff. Sewa Day 2024 was not only a celebration of service but also a powerful reminder of the kindness and appreciation that bind us all as a school community.
