World Environment Day

World Environment Day

Our school celebrated World Environment Day with a vibrant program that engaged students and staff alike. The day began with a special assembly focusing on the theme for 2024, "Our Land. Our Future. We are #GenerationRestoration." The assembly featured presentations, speeches, and skits that highlighted the importance of land restoration and its impact on the environment.
Following the assembly, the school embraced the concept of sustainability with a Zero Waste Lunch Day. Students were encouraged to pack lunches that minimized waste, using reusable containers and avoiding unnecessary packaging. This initiative not only promoted environmental consciousness but also sparked discussions about responsible consumption habits.

To further engage students in environmental issues, an article writing competition was held. The competition provided a platform for students to express their ideas and concerns about land degradation, deforestation, and other environmental challenges. The competition entries showcased a deep understanding of the issues and a strong desire to be part of the solution.

The day's activities culminated in a "Ready, Set, Grow!" tree-planting initiative. Students, along with teachers and staff, actively participated in exchanging saplings with each other. This hands-on experience provided a valuable connection with nature and instilled a sense of ownership in creating a greener environment.

World Environment Day at our school was a resounding success. The diverse activities fostered a sense of environmental responsibility among students and staff. By participating in these activities, we collectively took a step towards a more sustainable future and became part of the #GenerationRestoration movement.
