OOB at the GEMS Principals’ Education Conference

The atmosphere at the Madinat Jumeirah Ballroom was electric and charged with the presence of top educationalists where the grand event witnessed a gathering of the principals of 45 GEMS schools. Six schools showcased their initiatives and endeavors, aimed at promoting the well-being of their communities.

Our school, represented by a dedicated team of four—Samford Sebin and Aditya Rajesh (student representatives) alongside Miss Hajira and Miss Zainab (teacher representatives)—was proud to present two innovative applications: the WOW Students app, developed in-house, and the Smiling Minds application, which is part of a pilot project focused on enhancing the well-being of the OOB community.

Our stall attracted significant attention and enthusiasm from the attendees, including principals from Mr. Michael Guzder's cluster as well as principals from other British and American curriculum schools. We faced a series of insightful and critical questions from these ingenious leaders. There were interesting queries about how our app aids in developing a smoother sleep cycle.
A major highlight of the event was the opportunity to present our apps to the esteemed GEMS Education CEO, Dr. Saima Rana and our Chairman, Mr. Sunny Varkey. Their presence underscored the importance of our work and the potential impact of our initiatives.

Overall, the event was a resounding success. Our efforts were well-received, culminating in the honor of presenting in front of the GEMS Chairman, Mr. Sunny Varkey. This recognition not only validated our hard work but also inspired us to continue striving for excellence in enhancing student well-being through innovative solutions.
